V collection X with launchkey MK4

Hi all, I like the features of the Launchkey MK4 better that the minilab (especially the chord mode). Will i be able to control the vst’s of the V collection X enough ?
My DAW is Ableton Live.
Thx

Yes. I am using this setup as we speak. You can easily map the encoders in the VSTs just like with other controllers. IMO the integration with Arturia controllers is overrated. I found that I had to remap to my liking anyway.

@spamilton do you map the encoders individually to each VST of the X collection? Do you save it then as a preset within then VST when using the “learn” mode. Or do you have something that can be uploaded from the “Components” companion novation app? Just curios since I am quite new to customizing the experience.

I wish to achieve mapping an encoder (or fader) custom mode to the four macros found in each VST (Brightness, Timbre, Time and Movement). So I can have some basic control no matter with which VST I am working with. Ideally I would like the encoders to work the same in all VST like mentioned and then maybe having a custom faders settings individually for a particular VST when I need something extra.

Happy to hear any suggestion, idea or direction towards any improvements. Or what works the best for you.

I map them manually to each VST as needed. It can be annoying to do it initially, but once it is set it seems to work well. I’m not familiar with the method using the Novation app. My setup isn’t too crazy. I just mostly make looping tracks in my office.
