K37 works well with AL, Pigments and all the other instruments I tested.
I enter midi mode Learn, click on the first of the four Macro buttons on Minifreak V (2.0.2.594), turn bank1 button on K37 but nothing happens. I tried the parameters listing. Nitchevo (nothing).
Tried reinstalling Minifreak V, again nitchevo.
Windows 11 with the recent (August 27) Arturia updates.
Neither learning from Microfreak.
If memory serves well (maybe it doesn’t) I never noticed this behavior before and I use the four K37 knobs daily and I remember (???) using these knobs with Minifreak V standalone. Of course it works through AL.
Addendum: On June 28, Talahamut reported the midi learn to be working with the Generic midi controller. So it seems it was fixed then.
I tried with my old Keylab Essential 61 (with Minifreak proper Essential setting) to no avail.
So the workaround by Bleo is working.
It worked with my MicroFreak and my Keystep37.
And as Talahamut reported, you can switch back to Generic controller. But you can’t start up with Generic controller!
When I restart Minifreak V, Generic controller does not work. I have to switch to whatever else (eg. Keylab Essential). Then I can switch to Generic. It’s a bug with the Generic controller setting in MiniFreak V.
So, for Minifreak V only, Keylab25 (or whatever) is the generic midi controller. This does not work for me on other Arturia VSTs; you have to use Generic controller.
A new release of MiniFreak V 2.0.2.594 came after the latest release of AL and all instruments except MiniFreak V.
Generic controller for midi learning works as expected with Keystep 37 and MicroFreak.
