Released: Thriller inspired Analog Lab V soundbanks with 40+ handcrafted patches

After two years of research and sound design work, we are excited to share that we have just launched a collection of Analog Lab V soundbanks inspired by Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller, with vocals performed by Max Mutzke. We are a team of four producers working together from different parts of the world including California, Lanzarote, Germany and Poland.

Thriller Recreation Video

These include over 40 fully handcrafted patches that recreate and honor the original synthesizer work, using Arturia engines such as Jupiter 8 V, Jupiter 4 V, ARP 2600 V, Synclavier V, CS 80 V, Prophet, Piano V, Stage 73 and more.

We focused on authenticity, musicality, and correct vintage behavior like detune character, portamento timing, filter response and oscillator drift. All presets are built by hand without samples and designed for producers who love early 80s cinematic pop, funk and analog film sound textures.

Contents include
• Basses
• Stabs
• Pads
• Leads
• Plucks
• Sound effects
• Atmospheric textures
• Vintage keyboard tones

If you enjoy studying classic production techniques or want ready to use presets that sit correctly in a Thriller inspired mix, feel free to take a look.

Happy to answer technical questions about patch structure, modulation choices, or how we approached emulating the behavior of the original hardware.

Thank you Arturia team and community for the tools and knowledge that made this project possible.

Feel free to check out the presets: Synthrilla Recriation Website with Sounds & Patches

Hello @synthrilla , excellent and congratulations on the design of the banks…

The €24.95 bank includes all the banks sold separately.

Thank you in advance.

Hey @PascalH_HSMR_CIWA , thank you so much! Yes, these are all the sounds that are shown separately, but here in the Arturia .labx format. This also includes exclusive versions of the Rhodes on Stage 73 and the Jupiter 4 Marimba (which we originally built in Roland Cloud) recreated in a Jup-8 V preset. I would say it sounds truly identical. And I will update the download links from time to time and improve the sound banks whenever we make enhancements. You will not need a new download link for future updates.
