Hi @DanielePane and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!
It looks like you’re on a Mac from your pic?
I’m a windows user and so not familiar with file locations on Mac OS, BUT, the first thing i would try would be to search your system for a file called ‘db.db3’, which is a database of all your arturia presets and it can go a little wonky from time to time.
The windows location is C:\ProgramData\Arturia, if that helps you at all.
You should close ALV down and then search your system for that file, once you’ve found it, delete it and then run ALV again, give it a minute or so, depending on how fast your machine is; and that should likely fix your issue.
I wonder if this is similar to a series of issues I’ve been having. First off, I have Analog Lab keyboard and it came with Analog Lab 4. It’s fully registered… And because I recently upgraded to V Collection, I also have Analog Pro (V). V4 works, though it shows I’m running a demo (I am certainly not), and V5 opens, but I get nothing from it. I can see the instruments, as well as presets, but there is no sound.
I have checked it in both DAW and in Strandalone (pun). Niether way produces sound. I can choose presets, even ones I have made… Zip. When I run V4, it plays, but keeps wanting me to register it. ASC shows both as ‘registered’…
Ideas???
My recent upgrade to to Pro seems to be the culprit here, me thinks. Everything was working perfectly a few weeks back. I am on Windows 11 Pro, fully up to date with a very great RME SC. Every other VST, including Arturia VSTs, work fine in standalone and in DAW. I’m only having issues with these two.
I tried deleting the database, and when I opened V4, it still showed as a demo. V5 did not sound… But here’s what solved it…
After I deleted the DB file, I opened v4 first, and re-registered it on my computer. That ook away the demo status… And behold, V5 opened and worked as well. Thank you.
