Quit it with your memes and
just measure your bl**dy desk space.
Dude
Everythingâs fine.
Iâm halfway on your side, OP. What I dream for is a Keylab 37. This year, I wanted to upgrade my old Keylab 61 MK2 and ended up rotating through the Keystep 37, the Minilab 25, and finally the Keylab Essential 49 MK3. I also bought and returned the Launchpad 37 which was almost perfect in every way but it wasnât Arturia and my setup is basically all-in on Arturia stuff, so it didnât work out.
The Keystep had both too much and not enough of what I needed, and the Keylab 25 is just too small for fluid playing. The Essential 49 has more keys than I wanted and takes up way more space⊠I ended up having to build a makeshift stand for it but it was really my best option in the Arturia line.
I think 37 keys is the sweet spot. In this regard, I wish Arturia would design their own version of the Launchpad 37 so I could sell the Essential 49 and have the best of all worlds
There is clearly room for your two smaller screens (which seem to be tablets of some sort) to be twisted to less of an angle and moved slightly further back, to allow for your Melbourne Instruments (? I think) control surface (with the 8 pots) + your computer keyboard + your trackpad to be shuffled left by several cm. Thirty seconds at that desk and I could make enough space on the right to accomodate at least a KS32, possibly even a KS37, without removing anything but the Microlab. I donât know why youâre insistant that only a product which doesnât exist will fit your space, but you seem inflexible to reasonable suggestions and you respond to them with silly memes, so Iâm out.
Iâll agree with you on one thing though: itâs crazy the KS32 and KS37 arenât available in black. I bought my KS32 when they sold it in black on a limited edition run many years ago. I would never have wanted it in Domestic Appliance White.
I can see logic in this. At one point they sold a KL25. It was in the first generation of KLâs, pre-2018. I bought it and gave it to my son within a week because I realised 25 keys was not enough for me. So I ended up buying a KL49, which was the next size up. But it was too big for me. so I ended up selling that and buying the KeyStep, which I now use along with a KL88 because my circumstances changed and I ended up being able to dedicate one bedroom of a rented house to a home studio (in my avatar). But going back to the days when I had the dilema of KL25 vs KL49, what I really would have bought is a KL37. Itâs not even an uncommon size.
How do you get a harmless thread about a product wish, that got quite funny, so wrong?
What makes you believe you know my space and my usability requirements better than me? And why do you even care that aggressively?
Everything is still fine.
I already ordered a second MicroLab, a Hand saw and some glue from Amazon to build myself a 37.
Wish me luck
Indeed.
Just a quick reminder to keep things civil, guys!
We ALL have our own personal wishes/wants/needs etc, and as the old acronym goes⊠âYMMVâ!
