So one of things I do and find it very useful for my workflow is to create a user setup in MCC and store it on User1. In this setup, for all 16 pads (8x2 Banks), I assign Output to PatchChange, assign a color, start with Program Number 0, MIDI CC Channel to 1 and then do the same thing with other 15 pads by simply incrementing the Program Number sequentially (first one is always 0, then 1, then next pad being 2, then 3 and so on while also increasing the MIDI CC Channel by 1 and varying the pad color.
Meanwhile, in Analog Lab Pro, I have a custom playlist where I have dragged and dropped 16 of my favorite presets.
With this setup, all I have to do is to choose User 1 on the controller, press one of the pads (let’s say the 4th one in Bank A on top row) and bam! It takes me immediately to the 4th preset in my custom list and so on. I can switch to Bank B and then hit the pads and it takes me to presets number 9 through 16 in my custom list in Analog Lab Pro
I have devised this setup since I bought my first Arturia Keylab Essentials 49 about a year ago. Since then, I have bought 3 more Keylab Essentials (different sizes), and one MiniLab 3.
Now to the problem, since the last MCC update (1.22.0.56 Build 56, Revision a8afea6), the above setup doesn’t work anymore. Pressing a pad doesn’t switch to the preset assigned to it. However, it for some reason it still works on my MiniLab3. I have reset the controller multiple times, deleted and recreated custom setup in MCC, saved it to User 1 on all 4 controllers but no luck.
I really use this feature and would like it to be working again. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sunil Sinha
PS - For what it’s worth, I did buy two Arturia Keysteps (Mk2 and 37 released just recently and had it attached to the same MacBook. Since then, I’ve disconnected them from the computers but the above problem persists.
