Hello everyone! I have been trying to buy the upgrade to “v Collection x + synthi v” for several days at the convenient price of €169. When I finalize the order via PayPal (connected to my American Express) it is concluded but without withdrawing the money from my account. The order is therefore in “pending” status without ever being concluded. I have already contacted Arturia support who simply told me that since the transaction did not go through they would cancel my order without giving me any solution in this regard. Has this happened to you too? PS. I have already made purchases in the last few days without problems with PayPal and I have already contacted both my bank and PayPal and they told me that everything is ok.
My only suggestion would be to try another payment method- another card maybe?
HI @Dragoda
As @Funtmaster suggests, if you have a different method of payment i’d try that first, if you STILL have problems then i’d log into your account to see if Arturia Support can help you with this.
HTH!
I have already received an answer from support, it seems there is a problem with the selection of the payment method: even selecting PayPal it considers the transaction via monetico. Today I will investigate more thoroughly. Thanks anyway for the help
It happened to me twice. I think Monetico or Arturia’s bank (Crédit Agricole?) does not like linux. I contacted Arturia. It took some time to get settled.
Now I order in Windows even if I don’t fully trust Windows.
After a week and 3 tickets we managed to come to a conclusion. Arturia no longer accepts payments on the Amex circuit, not even with PayPal (the method I used to purchase the V Collection 9). At this point I’m keeping the v Collection 9 and giving up on the upgrade since I already have too many synths and it’s already a great collection. I think I’ll move on to Korg since I’ve wanted the M1 for a lifetime. Thanks to everyone for the advice, hoping that my information can help other users with American express.
Hello, sorry for this problem
I also had it with some servers for the payment in reverse from France to countries that are not part of the EU.
Namely that it is the Credit Mutuel where the payment transits for me .
In short and if all goes well I negotiated before October 30 the acquisition towards X with Synthx (offered for an early Christmas).
Although I suspect that a new bet from X must be close to showing its nose or a bigger discount for Black Friday.
But hey I don’t like games of chance let’s take advantage of the current discounts (unless I also have trouble paying the bill).
Friendship.
It looks like you have a fairly typical situation with “frozen” transactions via PayPal. Sometimes this happens if the seller’s system (in this case, Arturia) cannot correctly confirm the payment with a specific PayPal → American Express link, although the money is considered available by the bank and PayPal.
It’s good that you have already checked with the bank and PayPal itself - this means that the problem is really on the seller’s side or their processing. Arturia has such cases, and usually the solution is either to wait until the “pending” is automatically canceled (usually up to several business days), or to try to pay in another way (for example, directly by card, bypassing PayPal).
If the amount is still reserved, but the order is not confirmed, PayPal is obliged to automatically release it - sometimes it takes 3-5 business days.
I advise:
Check if you have restrictions/flags for “international” purchases in PayPal.
Try paying again directly by card through the Arturia website.
If the “upgrade offer” price is limited in time, check with Arturia support if they can hold it for you, given the technical issue.
Other users have had similar situations, but usually everything was resolved either by re-paying with another method or by automatically returning the frozen funds.
Would you like me to help you write a short letter to Arturia support asking them to fix the price until the issue is resolved?
