I have a Multi in Analog Lab that consists of two layered Mini Vs.
It is easy to assign the mode wheel in a way that it controls the volume of the second Mini V. So I can blend in the sound of the second Mini V via the Mode Wheel. So far so good. What I would like now is that at the same time the volume of the first Mini V gets reduced via the Mode Wheel. In other words a crossfade via Mode Wheel between the two instruments. Is this possible?
It looks like Analog Lab only allows you to select one modulation destination for the mod wheel (P1 Volume or P2 Volume), and it only goes in one direction so it couldnât drop the volume as you increase the wheel value.
To accomplish something like you want, youâd probably have to edit the actual synth patches and set up modulation, then use those new presets in your own custom Analog Lab patch.
I donât think this is possible as you described and as @Talahamut believes too.
If youâre using it within a DAW though you might be able to achieve that using some type of controls in it, Cubase has assignable âquick controlsâ which should be good for this kind of thing.
HTH!
It can be done using a Analog Lab macro too as that can be assigned to multiple parameters. But not by using the modwheel like @Talahamut say, as that need to be done in the individual sounds.
Thank you for your suggestions. I am still struggling with this. Isnât it possible to controll a macro which is assigned to multiple parameters with the modwheel?
In Analog Lab itself, probably not. In ALâs âControls Assignâ section, you can only route Modwheel to one destination, chosen from a limited set of AL controls. And I donât think you can re-map Modwheel to other MIDI Controls on the MIDI Control panel.
To do what you want, I think you have to set it up in your presets in the individual synths first.
