Currently have v collection x and Pigments 4. Can anyone recommend a classic house piano preset? Something like the korg m1?
HI @sam81
Great to see youâve made it here to the new Sound Explorers Forum!
Why not just have a look at Analog Lab V, filter by âtypeâ for pianos and run through the results, you might find something that suits your needs perfectly or even something that triggers your creativity in a different and unexpected direction?
HTH!
Ironically the most sonically-distinctive attribute of the famous M1 piano is that it didnât really sound like a piano. To get that M1-piano sound youâre going to need start with a bright sounding piano (lets say the 1982 piano preset), get rid of any reverb, fix the velocity at 127, and shove it through a compressor.
Try the âGrand Piano 1â preset in the Emulator II instrument. ![]()
Fiddle with the controls a bit and it sounds a lot like an M1.
