[Feature Request]Add more items under MIDI Channel for controllers

Currently, when selecting MIDI channels for controllers, you can only select MIDI channels 1 to 16. This MIDI channel can be different to the main MIDI channel.

Please add the following to the list of items under MIDI Channel for controllers (under the MIDI tab is settings).

Onmi
Follow main MIDI channel setting.

Note: This request applies to all Arturia Software Synths.

Hi @Promidi. Welcome back.

OMNI is named ALL in Arturias software instruments. It can be set under the SETTINGS tab.

I’m not sure what you wish to get out of a FOLLOW midi channel.

Yes, I know you can set the MIDI channel under the Settings for note events, and yes, I know you can set that to Omni.

I am talking about under the MIDI tab when you set the MIDI channel of any CC mapping. You can only set MIDI channel 1 to 16.

Say you have an instance of an Arturia Synth in a project and you want to change the MIDI channel that the Arturia Synth receives on. Not only do you have to change the MIDI channel settings under the settings tab, you also have to change the MIDI channel of every CC controller that the Synth receives on. If you do not change the CC controller MIDI channels, any CC data will not be responded to. Having an option to have the CC controller MIDI channels follow that setting as configured under the settings tab will save a lot of work.

My feature request stands.

So you mean for the individual parameters in a MIDI config. I support that.

I guess it’s also about how people work and use their controllers and hosts what’s efficient.

I support this request too!
This is not an issue when using an Arturia controller such as KeyLab mk3 in Arturia Mode, since the KeyLab’s knobs and faders automatically sync to the Arturia instrument’s parameters, regardless of the MIDI Channel.

But with other controllers (or a KeyLab in User Mode), the Channel of the MIDI Config parameters has to match the MIDI channel from the controller, and the choice is only 1-16, but not All, and there’s no “Follow Main Channel” option, that would be really useful.
