Before the last update for Windows 11, when you clicked on Arturia in the Start menu, all the instruments in the V Collection were listed in alphabetical order in list form. After the Wurlitzer start button, each instrument’s uninstall program was listed, also in alphabetical order.
After the last update, when I click on Arturia in the start menu, there is a group of 12 items visible, most of them the uninstall programs. As you scroll through, every instrument is still available, but not in alphabetical order, and interspersed with the uninstall programs. As far as I can tell, there is no way to re-order those items. I have chosen to pin each of the instruments to Start, which makes it cumbersome since there are so many (not complaining), but at least I can find them more easily and quickly. I’m wondering if there is a way to re-order those icons in the group, or if we’re stuck with the new design.
I think many of us windows users feel your pain here, i know i do!
I noticed that not all of my Arturia software was listed, despite knowing it was installed in the first place, so i set up a folder on my desktop, created a bunch of shortcuts and i keep them in that folder.
Not the most elegant of solutions, i know, but… microsoft eh!
That’s another good solution. All of my Arturia instruments were listed, just hidden among the uninstall icons.
The trend I see is people who design products with no consideration of consequences: for example, whether an average adult human hand can actually access the fastener in the insanely crowded engine compartment. And most companies are not receptive to constructive criticism. Many companies these days (looking at you, Korg and Roland) don’t even provide a means for customers to contact them directly.
