haha I solved the issue as I was writing the post, sharing the solution for posterity:
I’m running Windows 11 Home and MIDI Control Center was simply not showing the Beatstep Pro. I had closed all software that could’ve potentially been detecting the Beatstep Pro, aside from potential background processes. I had tried unplugging my audio interface, using different ports and it still would not show up in the list.
While writing the post and performing some due diligence, I decided to try using KORG’s USB-MIDI Driver Uninstaller to uninstall some seemingly irrelevant devices. I unplugged my devices, ran the uninstaller, plugged them back in, and voila! The MIDI Control Center is now detecting my BSP.
I believe I had heard of this as being useful due to a limited number of MIDI devices that can be registered to a Windows device, although I don’t remember the details of this. In any event, I can now use the lovely MIDI Control Center with my Beatstep Pro.
Cheers !
