Hi, I just purchased the arturia V collection 11, and was just sitting down to start tweaking out some sounds, but none of the knobs work in the on screen controls is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong? I can change them from the from the macro controls, but if I go into the instruments themselves and change any knob, it doesn’t have any sonic effect.
I assume that your midi controller (keyboard) is connected properly and working ie you can hear notes when you play and that changing a patch, changes the sound?
Is this happening one particular instrument or all instruments?
Have you tried the affected instrument in standalone mode as well as within a DAW if you are using one?
Is it only parameters controlled by a Macro you have issues with?
And is it only in Analog Lab presets?
If you try to use SAVE AS just after you have loaded the preset and have’nt changed anything, and it show save as ANALOG LAB then it’s a Analog Lab preset.
If it is a Analog Lab preset, then please try a none Analog Lab preset from the individual instruments Factory bank. Do you have the issue there?
Hi thanks for your suggestions! I did find a temporary workaround for this. Rather that monitoring the sound from the output of Astrolab I monitor from the computer audio. Not ideal, but I can live with it. Hopefully they will get that fixed in a future firmware.
If you have a temporary workaround - that’s great.
However, I still have no idea what your issue really was from your description - especially as you didnt mention Astrolab initially.
If you still feel things are not working as you expect, we would need more info on this forum. If it needed to be raised with Arturia, they would need that same detailed info.
Hello Funtmaster. Sorry, I forgot to specify astrolab. I’m basically using Astrolab connected to my computer via USB and tweaking sounds in analog lab with the live connection between astral lab and analog lab checked. I would’ve thought this would allow me to tweak sounds on screen by mouse clicking on any given knob and having it update the sound as I play lab however it only does that through the computer speakers. It doesn’t do it through the audio output of astrolab. Hope that makes sense.
However (and someone here on the forum can correct me), aren’t the two separate systems? The idea of Astrolab is being “Analog Lab in a keyboard”?
If so, changes to settings on Analog lab on your PC are reflected there and changes to Analog Lab on Astrolab are reflected there. I presume there is a way of syncing those changes between platforms. Isn’t that where the app Astrolab Connect comes in as it looks as if Astrolab Connect is required to make that happen.
