Analog lab V banks not showing up in Logic but does in Ableton and standalone

Analog lab V banks are not showing up in Logic but do show up in Ableton and standalone.
???

Please advise/help …

Banks I made myself/User banks are showing up but not the banks I bought or the free banks.

Welcome.

First thing I’d try is uninstalling and re-installing Analog Lab. Maybe you have tried that already?

Hi @arthurrombouts and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!

Before uninstalling, i’d scan your system for a file called ‘db.db3’. It’s located in C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets if you are on a windows machine, and you should be able to do a search for it if you’re on a Mac… i’m a windows user, so not too familiar with Mac locations.

Close any Arturia plugins first and then delete that file.
Then run ALV again and give it a minute or so to rebuild its database, then try seeing if they’re showing up in Logic.
If they do, then all good, if not then i’d try @Jon_Vincent suggestion and do an un/reinstall procedure.

HTH!

@matjones good call!

Hi @arthurrombouts. Welcome to the community from me too.

Are you sure that the show USER presets only in Analog Lab was’nt enabled?

I tried that but no success

I tried that. The problems seems to be Logic.
In Ableton and standalone everything works as it should be.

And in Logic the problem is just only with Analog Lab.
In the individual instruments (synthesizers) the soundbanks are showing up just fine.

Logic uses the Audio Unit version of Analog Lab, while Ableton I expect uses the VST. But as far as I’m aware, all versions ‘look at’ the same library (because why wouldn’t they). Maybe an Arturia tech can shed some light on this, or failing that raise a support ticket.

@arthurrombouts

It might be worth you posting on The Logic forum too if you haven’t already, possibly someone else there might have the same issue/an answer for you.
Definitely log it with Arturia Support too.

In Ableton both the AU & VST versions of Analog Lab work.

ok thanks ! I will check the Logic Forum
and I have asked the same question/issue at Arturia Support

Arturia Support replied :

"… I’ve talked with my colleagues and we’ve been able to reproduce this problem with Logic and Apple Silicon computers. It seems like there’s a license sync issue in Logic with Analog Lab and our dev team has been notified.

→ I’ve added your comments to the log on this topic, it will be considered for the next update

  • Normally, as a temporary workaround (even if I know that this may not be a solution and not relevant in some precise situations) ensuring opening Logic Pro in Rosetta mode should help you avoid facing these problems for now.

To do so:

-Open the Finder and go to your Applications folder
-Right-Click on the Logic Pro icon
-Click on “Get Info
-Tick “Open using Rosetta
-Restart Logic Pro …"
