Neither the standalone nor the plugin produces any sound whatsoever. The midi signal is reaching the software but no sound is produced. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, messed with the settings of both my computer and the software, and verified that all my other Arturia synths work just fine. Even worse, when I go into midi settings and use the “test audio” button it produces sound no problem. Neither the software keyboard nor my minilab produce a single note. No idea what to do, its seriously annoying.
Hi @tommessmer. Welcome to the community.
Have you also selected your controller to control your Analog Lab standalone in the Audio and midi settings?
It’s strange if you don’t get sound using the virtual keyboard. You should. Is it Analog Lab’s own virtual keyboard and not the keys in a instrument you open inside Analog Lab?
I helped someone recently with a similar issue. See:
Bizarrely, it seems their uninstalling ALV and the affected instrument, then reinstalling resolved their issue. That would be worth a try.
Thanks yeah I uninstalled and reinstalled. No dice.
Just for our benefit, could you post a screenshot of AL audio/midi configuration.
I see you are sending audio to your MacBook speakers. Silly question - but the output is not muted, is it? Are other things such as Youtube videos playing audio?
If so, do you use an external Audio Interface and is that working?
You say you have Test Tone sound. As said, then if you use the correct virtual keys then you should have sound - unless the volume is turned down somewhere somehow.
Let’s assume there is some kind of problem using the virtual keys. Then if you have changed the default ALL setting for midi channel in Analog Lab to a channel that do not match your Minilab 3 midi channel setting can cause no sound.
Please check/ set your Minilab 3 to Midi Channel 1 and your Analog Lab to midi channel ALL. If this still do not give sound, then this also point at a Volume issue of some kind. Have you checked Analog Labs volume settings? Do you for example have a control that control Analog Labs Master volume - is the control turned down or malfunctioning?
Otherwise the issue make no sense. But i can suggest you try to reset the Analog Lab preferences through ASC and also to download the Analog Lab standalone installer and try to install using that - all just in case:

I’m just posting this for future reference in case anyone runs into this in the future. I tried to reason about what might have changed in my setup since everything was fine as recently as a couple weeks ago. I remembered that I had changed the email address associated with my Arturia account–for whatever reason this must have caused this hangup–all I did to fix it was uninstall the app, deactivate everything on this computer, then reactivate and reinstall. No real idea why this only affected the Analog Lab Play and not any of my other synths, but there you have it.
Thanks for the update @tommessmer.
Yes one need to be logged in correctly. That was important info we did’nt know about.
Glad the issue has been resolved.
I hope all go well from now.
Hi
I am not here often…
I did have a problem once ‘after’ installed on another computer for testing.
Analog Lab was the only one having problems!
It was only a test and I deleted app at the time… I guess similar situation… a bug?
