I am currently working on a Logic Project which has samples and mainly Analog Lab Instruments. When I change a Preset in Analog Lab it happens very often that the sound is out of tune. Does anybody know how this can be?
It is a little bit like having sample rate conflicts, but I have not sample rate conflict. Everything is in 44.1 kHz.
HI @zappafrank
Possibly a daft question, but i assume you’ve checked for errant midi data from any connected controllers?
I’ve inadvertently leaned on the joystick on the Korg Trinity i used to have… embarrassed to say that lol.
That is funny. When I click into a track in the main Arrangement Window from Logic I get very strange and anoying noise and feedback effects. This only happens with virtual instruments, not with audio tracks.
@zappafrank
Ok, i don’t use Logic unfortunately, but it sounds like there’s either some kind of odd routing going on, OR there is something amiss on your system.
What audio interface are you using? Could you have some kind of odd routing in its mixer software?
Sounds like something is sending pitch-bend.
Could perhaps caused be MIDI feedback.
Be sure your controller is using separate ports for controlling instruments and the DAW itself.
About tuning then perhaps some factory preset names could help.
Thank you for your suggestions. I have disabled most of my MIDI In and Out Ports. This seems to have solved the problem. Thank you!
HI @zappafrank
That’s good news, we now know it’s Midi related.
I’d enable each port, one at a time now to see when the issue returns and with what port/s, once you narrow that down it’ll be much easier to find what’s actually occurring here.
Thank you, the good news is that in Logic normally I really don’t need a lot of ports.
