**I made this track two years ago using Arturia’s plugins. A lot of people on SoundCloud really like it, so I hope you’ll enjoy it too

Hi @herz and thanks for posting!

I have to admit that this type of music is quite a way from my own tastes, so i’ll try and be as objective as i can.

Intro sounds good, no messing about, straight in!
Reminds me somewhat of S-Express (remember them!).
The turnaround sample works nicely.
A minute or so in and that’s a nice other sound you’ve dropped in.
A minute and a half… this is where it starts to get too ‘samey’ for me… I understand it’s for the dance floor and repetition is great for keeping people dancing, but you can still do that with chord/key changes etc…
Possibly i’m way wide of the mark here, but i think it’s far too long as it is without some significant musical variation, rather than dropping elements in and out to try and create a dynamic.
A STRONG melodic hook would work wonders for it too and help to ‘burn it into’ people’s minds.
The bassline NEEDS to go somewhere else to keep the listener’s interest, it will help the track to have some ‘tension and relief’ and make the thing a whole lot more engaging to a wider audience.

Just my own personal views! I do not work for Arturia, just to clarify.

I think it could be a REALLY good track otherwise.

HTH!

Yeah, you’re right I could have done all of that that evening, but honestly I never do. These are all basically one-takes that I record at night just to relax and unwind. I didn’t even properly bounce it, I just recorded it. And then of course I try to stretch it out as much as I can.

Yeah, I know, it’s not really an excuse, but I’m not trying to paint big masterpieces — more like a poster, you know?**

But thanks for your feedback, I’ll definitely keep it in mind for my next tracks. Cheers!”
