Is there some reason the “Hold” button doesn’t work unless the arp is on? Using a little Behringer UB-Xa as a drone source, just want to hold a note forever.
I mean, I could put a rock on a sustain pedal, but that would be extra stuff to carry/forget/lose/break.
This seems weird to me. Seems like literally every other synth I have used that had a hold button worked this way.
As it is now, the button does nothing (nothing that I can tell, anyway). Why have it do nothing?
I don’t have a keystep 37.
According to the manual the following is possible: “9.10.2.8.Hold Button Function The Hold button can be configured to toggle Hold/Chord modes on/off, send a sustain message or do both.”
So have you in Midi Control Center tried to set the “Hold Switch Function” to the functionality you want?
Downloaded software, made the change, and while it works on my Moog (which has a keyboard/sequencer/arp, so it was just a test) it does not with the tiny Behringer UB-Xa Mini (which doesn’t have an arp, and while it has a “keyboard”, it is too small for my giant, sausage-like fingers to play).
Just want to use the Behringer as a small shruti box kind of thing, and hauling my Moog on the subway is a hassle.
