Where's the next firmware release?

It’s been 5 months today since the release of 1.70. Most of the previous releases have been bug fixes with very little functionality improvement.

Can we expect a v2.0 release this year with at least some missing features added (like support for keyboard volume via pedal)?

Regarding firmware etc updates, Arturia rarely, if ever, make pre announcements.
The best way to get the latest news on things like this are to keep an eye on Arturias’ social channels or subscribe to The Arturia Newsletter.

Regarding your request for keyboard volume pedal support, you’d be better off creating a separate ‘feature request’ post and labelling it [Feature Request] as it will be much more likely to be seen by The Arturia Devs.

Hi Stuart, sorry about the frustration the waiting is causing.

We are currently preparing the next update and it will be available within the next few months, I cannot give an exact date since it’s a complex quality assurance process with the team.

We will announce it as soon as it’s ready.

AstroLab update 2.0 is now available for all 3 models (37, 61, 88)

  • New Features:
    • Sound Edit: access up to 20 sound parameters for each preset (varies by instrument) directly on AstroLab, without a computer / V-Collection.
    • Compatibility with the new MiniFreak V5 (import user samples & wavetables)
  • New Sounds:
    • New sampled Grand Piano, Brass, Strings, Bass presets
  • Several other improvements and fixes
