Sharing a demo video of my live keyboard rig, built around a customized KeyLab 88 MK3 setup: full sysex control of the screen, footer buttons, pad LEDs and list navigation, driving instrument switching and a repertoire browser — all made possible by Ableton Live and Max for Live devices.
The sysex protocol mapping and the JS/M4L code were developed together with Claude (Anthropic’s AI), which wrote the code based on my testing and hardware measurements. I’ve documented the reverse-engineered protocol and published a proof-of-concept project here: GitHub - saxofonbrian/keylab-mk3-sysex: Reverse-engineered SysEx, CC maps and LED IDs for the Arturia KeyLab 61/88 mk3 screen — plus an Ableton Live + Max for Live proof of concept. · GitHub
