Using 16rig with OBS Studio

Starting a discussion on using the 16rig with OBS Studio. I’m currently in the process of getting all my video angles setup for recording my various pieces of hardware, along with the setup of handling all the different audio sources. I didn’t find anything out on the interwebs or here in the forum.

Hoping there are others with experience using OBS Studio regardless of whether you are also using the 16rig as your audio device.

So far things are going smoothly with the setup and I’ll update in the future with more information once I cross those bridges.

Again, if you have any tips or tricks when it comes to the 16rig with OBS or just OBS, they will certainly be appreciated.

One thing you might want to investigate is the possibility of using ASIO mode for recording the Audio into OBS Studio.

This can be achieved by using the ASIO plugin for OBS Studio.

This can be downloaded from the following Github website

Download obs-asio-3.2.1-windows-x64-Installer.exe

I have a Focusrite 8i6 3rd Generation and this works really well here on that audio interface.

I actually have it all setup that way already. Plugin works like a charm however it’s limited to 6 tracks of recording from what I can tell.
