Understanding patch Sync Seq

Hey
I’m enjoying using very short notes on the patch Sync Seq.
I would like to find a way the filter doesn’t oscillate and open up so to get only the moment where it’s bassy and no harmonics. Kind of a cello pizz. effect with delay.
Any ideas how to do that?
Thanks,
Y

Hi

If i understand you correct, then you can connect the CLOCKED GATE 1 output to trigger the envelopes.
Then adjust the DECAY and RELEASE in the ADRS and/ or RELEASE in the AR envelope.

I attach a preset to only show the connections.
ARP 2600_Preset_Seq Env Trig Example.arpx (13.8 KB)
Download and import. Bank Name is LBH.

Notice the AR KBD GATE/ TRIG is set to TRIG, to not have the Sustain when a key is held.

Set the AR and ADSR sliders in the VCA section to hear each envelopes output.

The SYNC SEQ preset you mention does use this connection, so i’m not sure i understand you correct.
It also use effects you can switch off.
It also use the GATE 2 bus from the Sequencer to do modulations.
If you remove the modulation to the VCO1 S/H out slieder and to the VCA LIN ADSR slider, then you remove the modulation. If you then set the output switches for each step to GATE BUS 1, then all notes play.
Adjust Envelopes sliders like explained above.

@YK_arp

I’ve made a variant of the Sync Seq doing something like described in my previous post. I have not changed the Seq step BUSSES. I attach the preset.
Bank Name is “LBH Edits”. You can change the Bank name if you wish.

Hope it all help you.
