Transposing an arpeggio within the keystep shouldn’t be anything crazy, but … ok, let’s use an external midi keyboard!
What AI is suggesting doesn’t work.
In the MCC I’ve set Midi in to the same channel as out, different channel, midi thru off or on, nothing makes a difference: as soon as I press a key from the external keyboard the arpeggio is set to play that key only, it doesn’t change the notes of the arpeggio.
Is it doable at all? And if it isn’t… why?!!
Thanks
Should be nice also to transpose from external keyboard, like the keystep pro…
Eh, that’s the bare minimum! Can’t transpose internally, can’t transpose externally, what is the point of all these arpeggios if all you can do to transpose them is to play them again to perfection?
Hi @Xinod and @440Hz. Welcome back both.
I don’t have a Keystep 37. But if i understand the following sections in the manual correct and you correct, then it can be done. It’s about settings.
Please consult the manual sections:
3.2. Transpose / Kbd Play in Seq mode
and
9.10.3.Sequence settings
Hi LBH,
Thanks but no, those are controls and settings for sequences, arpeggios and sequences are mutually exclusive. And you can’t even save an arpeggio into a sequence on the KS37 …
All you can do to try to affect the notes of an ongoing arpeggio is change the scale and, within it, pick a different root, but as you can imagine this is not like transposing the arpeggio to a different key.
