Time to share

I made this a couple of months ago. I have been so busy reworking my Patch Collections that I forgot to share it. There you go world.

Its just Pigments, Jup8 and GForce Bass Station.

In the 90’s, who would say “it’s Jup8”, let alone Pigments and Bass Station? It sounds like what I was listening to in the 90’s electronica.
A friend collected everything that came out in the electronica scene in the 90’s. I would have to browse through the whole collection to give precise names.

I like this. The lead coming in at around 2:00 takes me back to my Tangerine Dream albums from decades ago.

As a lover of early TD, I take that as the greatest compliment.

I hoped you would! My first ever concert was TD. Manchester Free Trade Hall 5 November 1976.

I first saw them at the Apollo London in 1980. I was was at the Logos gig at the Dominion

Ah cool. I’m just looking at the cover of Logos now. Very different rig to what they had in 76 and 78 when I saw them with Peter Baumann.

It was a very long gap until I saw them again this year. Also in Manchester.

I’ve thought about setting up a TD template with Arturia VSTs. Must get round to that at some point. It would be a fun thing to do if I could do some ratchetting sequences with the Modular Moog.

I see you’re a fan of Nils Frahm too. Love his music and live performances.

I am a huge fan of TD around the 70s and 80s. The completist part of me made me collect everything even though I did not like the direction they took in later years. They started to should like lift music to me. I sold all that and kept the easier stuff. I saw Frahm live around 2019 and he was phenomenal. At the other end of the spectrum, Im off the see Cabaret Voltaire in London next week.

I’m with you. I still have around thirty TD LPs but the post Froese/Franke/Baumann albums rarely get listened to.

I just checked. It was 2015 when I last saw Nils. A bit shocked by that.

Enjoy the Cabs.
