Here is a track that has laid dormant and unfinished on my drive for many years. Today was the day it blossomed. It’s completely Arturia: Spark and several of my own patches (of course). I used my rather wild Pigments distorted guitar and surprised myself. I am barely a keyboard player, could never master the guitar and was always in awe of those who could. The ‘guitar’ was recorded in one take, unrehearsed.
Why Spock Vs Kirk? I love the music from Star Trek TOS and was reminded of the scene where Spock and Kirk fought on Vulcan as T’Pau looked on.
I really like it, Guitare Pigments, @Funtmaster how could I have missed it, I couldn’t have been better with my Zoon and my Cort. Very interesting and informative for me, excellent in any case.
I really like, for my part, the soundtracks from that era and the musical compositions that, throughout the episodes, even in the films that have accompanied us for years, like ’ Chapeau Melons et Bottes de cuir’
Thank you for sharing.
Best regards.
You should not be held back by the fact that the distorted guitar sound may not sound like a real distorted guitar. To me, it does sound like a distorted guitar but the question is : does the sound fit in the piece? It does in my opinion.
I did a guitar version of ‘You are the sunshine of my life’. I used an electric Ibanez guitar (1977) through an AER Amp. Perfect for jazz. I added an Opamp distorsion effect. I didn’t ask myself : is it a real distorsion?
I never use distorsion on a guitar so I’m clueless on distorsion. Pascal and aaron_aardvark would be better judges than me.
If you play single note, try to tie notes and use the modwheel to imitate note (string) bending. Playing guitar chords on a keyboard is a big challenge.
Addendum: I have the V12 solo guitar by Funtmaster. Other Pigments guitar don’t really sound like distorted guitars.
Good evening @francoise , to provide a sound and visual response, a few years ago (almost 10 years) I uploaded short videos where I had the impression that all this would lead somewhere.
Anyway, aside from the really poor sound and the same for the video, a piece entirely composed by me under Sonar 8 and our dog, who has greatly lost his vigor (15 years).
Good evening @Funtmaster and thank you,
if only this could have changed my life as a musician a little, but too many struggles, and then I have been and still am a bit lazy and unwilling to follow the rules.
I am pleased to receive this compliment from you, but am I deserving?
Happy to be part of the Arturia family for the humble musician that I am.
Musical friendship.
