Synth possibly bricked

I bought this Polybrute used, in mint condition, about a couple of months ago. It has given me zero problems. Today it’s not turning on. It just stays stuck on the loading screen with nothing but the stop button lit up. Anyone else have a similar issue?

I made a video showing what’s happening:

HI @Whatever and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!

It’s possible that it might just need to be reset. Unfortunately, i do not own a PolyBrute, seriously wish i did though, so it would be a good idea to log in to your account to contact our support team that will help you to fix this situation.

Best :zap:

Had this PolyBrute been updated by the previous owner?
Or did you update the firmware yourself?
The current firmware version is 3.1.1.1875.
The firmware file can be downloaded from PolyBrute 3.1.1 firmware
Update instructions are found here: PolyBrute Update FAQs
If your internet connection isn’t great, I recommend using the manual update procedure (Update from File).

I updated it when I received it to the latest firmware. There was a storm yesterday and the power didn’t go out, but the lights dimmed a few times. I had the Polybrute on during part of this storm. I didn’t notice any issue with it at the time; it went into sleep mode and then I turned it off.

Ok, good news - synth is not bricked. I connected it to my computer, opened the polybrute connect app. The app said the polybrute could not be found… I looked at the polybrute, and all the lights are working normally and the screen is on a preset. I don’t know what, if anything I did, contributed to it working… but it just suddenly started working again. No clue. Thanks for the help guys… I will connect it via a power supply with surge protection from now on just in case.
