New to Keylab, using it with Logic. While accessing a track in Logic the Keylab’s sliders/knobs refer to mixer functions. How do I switch to the patch editing options for the currently selected Logic instrument?
I have been stuck last week in this same position and couldn’t get to the mixer. I’d like to know how to get back and forth.
Hi and welcome to the Forum.
You dont say which Keylab you are using.
If its the Keylab Mk1, 2 or 3, you will have buttons to select Analog Lab, DAW or User mode.
If its the Keylab Essential, you can select the mode via the pads by pressing the Map Select button first.
As you are new to this, it would probably help you a lot to react yourself with the manual and watch some of the many videos on Youtube.
Sorry. I’m using the Arturia Keylab 61 mk3. I have read all the manuals that seem to apply. If I select Analog Lab I have no issues.
If I select DAW, the encoder, buttons and sliders work properly, effecting the individual tracks. These faders operate the Logic mixer panel’s faders, and the knobs manipulate the pan.
However, last week all these faders operated on the Logic Sampler instruments in any one track by modifiying timbre, reverb and other patch-related qualities; this instead of mixer options. That was excellent too.
My question is, while working in Logic DAW mode, how do I switch back and forth between addressing the mixer and the patch? In the manual it generally explains, as you did, how to switch between Asturia and DAW modes. That part I have down.
Any aid appreciated.

I have now (perhaps) found an answer to my question, though I still encounter inconsistencies of operations with Mac/Logic/Arturia. Sometimes the DAW display comes up with no track/instrument name displayed at all.
As indicated various places on line, I deleted the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs.
When I rebooted I found the display correct and additionally the upper two left buttons labeled Plugin and Mixer. Problem solved–now I can easily switch back and forth.
At least until the next time they dissappear from the display, or the track/instrument name altogether.
I have my fingers crossed. I’ll probably set up a hot-key macro to delete this resource file for future use, since Logic apparently rebuilds it during reboot.
Thanks for listening!

Im glad you got it working. As far as I understand it, you can switch to Analog Lab Mode while in Logic and use the sliders etc to control the plugin. You can then switch back and forth to DAW mode as you like. I tried this with MiniV4 in Logic and it worked. The mappings for the plugins were as per the patch. MIDI settings.
Yeah, I got that happening. My issue was within DAW alone, switching from Logic’s patches and back to mixer. In any case it seems addressed.
Snooping today online, I find Nektar is having control surface issues with Logic 11.2 (recently released), and says every software company using MCU/HUI protocols are having related issues.
