I can’t get my sustain pedal to work with Piano V in Reaper. It works fine with other VST’s and it works fine in Studio One. I can see the pedal icon in the bottom ‘registering’ when I press it down in Studio One, but not in Reaper. The sustain works fine with other VST’s inside Reaper. For some reason it doesn’t register when I down the pedal in Piano V, but only inside Reaper… I hope someone can help me out.
It’s indeed strange, if you only have the issue with Piano V?
I suggest you contact Arturia support through your Arturia account.
It’s not clear if other VST’s include other Arturia VST’s. Isuggest you add that information to support.
I enabled midi learn in Reaper parameters in the Piano V and activated the pedal. It works now. For some reason this was not plug and play, just for this instrument.
Good you have it working @Inside_the_Pyramid. But there really should’nt be no difference when using it in different DAW’s. May i ask - do you use the same VST format in both DAW’s - VST2 or VST3? You probably use VST3 in Studio One, but perhaps you use VST 2 in Reaper.
There have been such an unassigned pedal issue in Piano V before.
I now remember that I always filtered out anything other than VSTi3 if it was possible in Studio One… This made me do it now in Reaper as well. I appreciate your help @LBH ! Sorry to have bothered you with my silly mistake
And you did find out to assign the pedal anyway.
Just good to know what was going on. And it is wrong/ a bug the pedal do not work in the VST2 by default.
