Spark 2 on Win 11

New Alienware PC. Installed everything from Arturia Software Center. V-Series all OK except had a momentary problem with Matrix-12 not seeing its authorization. Spark on the other hand only runs standalone. Neither Reaper nor Live can see the VST. spark.dll is present with other plugs that do show up. I reinstalled, same. I uninstalled and then ran the dedicated install program, and specified the correct folder. Still same. I compared it to my old system, and all of the files are in the same folders on both machines. I downloaded and installed the C++ runtime package for the most recent, same. I have not yet installed the C++ 2010 runtime but I want to see if anyone has another idea.
Does anyone have Spark 2 running as a VST on Win 11? Thank you in advance!

Hi @Zip_oLeighter: Welcome back.

I have VST2 version running on Windows 11 in Studio One 6 PRO. My DAW is not the latest version.
You say you have Spark 2 running in standalone mode. So it can be about your DAW’s. Perhaps someone using Reaper and Ableton Live can tell.

HI Zip_oLeighter,

I have Spark2 running as a VSTi in Reaper and as VST 2.4 in Cubase 14.
Windows 11 on i7-7700.

Spark.dll is in C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Spark.
Strangely the same Spark.dll (same size) also got installed in C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit. This path is in my Reaper scan path. I’d bet it’s the Spark.dll that shows up in my Reaper.

As for Reaper, in Preferences> VST> Plugin paths., you add the path where spark.dll was installed which you probably did.

I found this on the legacy forum, after a clean install from Artura Software Center
and following these directions I got Spark in Reaper:

I got rid of both 32 bit dlls and copied the 64 bit into C:Program Files (x86)/VstPlugins.

Ableton needed a different custom path for VST2: C: ProgramFiles/Arturia. The spark.dll is there, inthe folders Spark/x64. Spark shows up in the Plugins library under VST>Arturia>Spark>x64. Success! Thank you francoise and LBH.

It makes sense. Mine was working since it got copied in
C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit
