The MicroFreak and the PO-33 are what got me into synthesizers and electronic music, and years later it still captivates me. I’ve acquired bigger, beefier synths since then, and even got the MiniFreak, but the MicroFreak is too unique to ever let go. It was art the first time I touched it, and still is. Peacocks and all.
I’m sharing about half the 100 presets I made for this pack in a sound demo. It’s for sale, of course - but it’s also a genuine love letter to this synth. No talking, no FX.
The pack is 100 presets all organized by type. Many contain sequences even if they aren’t explicitly labeled sequences, and many sequences are playable or expressive with the sequencer mode turned off for free playing of the patch.
I’d love feedback from Arturia staff and the community alike. The next batch will be more sophisticated, more complex, hopefully weirder!!
I hope to inspire at least one person to make a strange song they didn’t know they wanted to make. (:
