Some presets keep "making sound"

Hi

In DX7 V, I experience that some presets never go “fully quiet” after I stop playing them.

For instance, let’s take the preset Driftwood Pad.

Although I don’t hear anything, after I stop playing the instrument, the volume meter of my DAW still shows activity.

As if something keeps making a sound at low volume, even though I don’t hear anything.

I am mostly worried about which ramifications it can have on the stability and performance of my DAW.

Anyone knows anything about this subject?

Other presets that do something similar are: 70s Stoned House Bass, Ad Libernam, Alien Dirt, Da Statement, Drunk Nursery Rhyme, EBMania, Enchanted, Glacial Strings, Hopping Ratios, Hybrid Aesthesis

Hi @Aleque ,

When a preset is set to use the Vintage DAC setting, then there is noise like in the original.
You can use the Modern setting, if you wish.

Also some sounds can have some long release times and such that may not are audioble. That can show on the meter, but should go away after some time.

Perhaps there is more.

The Driftwood Pad can take some time to settle.
