Setting up MiniFuse - AbletonLive - Keyboard

Hello,

I’m a total beginner in terms of setting up keyboard + MiniFuse + Ableton, I’ve purchased a MiniFuse 2 to use AbletonLive, simply to hear what i’m playing on my keyboard through my PC (windows 11, Atlas OS).

I needed also to be able to record some audios, maybe in the future.

Here is my setup:

Keyboard: C Giant, 61 Key Electronic Keyboard
Headphone: Sony WH-CH700N (bluetooth + aux input)
DAW: AbletonLive
Other software: FxAudio Enhancer (because i’m partially deaf and I’m using that software to help my hearing problems)

I tried a lot of settings but i’m unable to hear anything when i’m pressing the keyboard, but I do see Ableton audio in 1/2 reacting.

The Keyboard have an USB port that can be used as MIDI, two channels (L + R) and the common Mic and Headphone input

Some videos oriented me to connect the L + R channels to the input 1 and 2 of the MiniFuse 2 and that react also when i’m pressing the keybord but still no sounds goes to my bluetooth headphone.

So I came here for help, if anyone have advice to share, I’ll see what I can do.

So after a bit of more troubleshooting, i’ve managed to setting up the whole thing with an USB cable from the keyboard to the MiniFuse 2 in MIDI only. I’ve noticed some latency but i’ll keep on going to try with the L+R channels

Hi @Castiel. Welcome to the community.

I don’t know anything about your keyboard.

Bluetooth has to much latency for real time performance audio.
Also i don’t know how you can use it with your Minifuse.

You use Windows. When you use a DAW then you select a Soundcard to use for audio input and output. In your case it’s your Arturia Minifuse. So afaik you can’t use the FxAudio Enhancer.

I would use Cabled headphones.
And then perhaps you can find a hardware headphone amplifier you can use. You need to do some research. I’m not sure it’s good or can damage hearing.

A DAW like Ableton have EQ’s and Compressor’s, Limiters’s and other plugins and there are third party plugins to use in a DAW, Use things like that instead of the FXAudio Enhancer.
I don’t know which tools Ableton Live have. Also Ableton Live is found in different versions. You have to study that yourself.

This is just my inputs. I don’t know if there a speciel audio production equiptment for persons with hearing loss.
Some DAW’s have visual tool’s, that can help for different things, if one understand how to use them, but they does’nt help to hear anything.

Perhaps do some web searching for Music production for persons with hearing loss. I don’t know if there are any info around.

I hope this can help you on your way.
