I think you SHOULD spend some time with the manual, as itâs rather more powerful than you might think initially.
If youâre going to be using the ARP function with FL or any other DAW, youâll need to set the sync mode on the KS to âUSBâ or âMidiâ so it will take its sync from your DAW.
You MIGHT have to enable something like âsend MTCâ or similar in your DAW also, so it sends the correct sync to your KS.
I do need to spend some time on the manual, but I donât find it user friendly for an old guitarist like me who doesnât even know what a âclockâ is
Hereâs a screencap of my midi settings in FL, maybe you can see if somethingâs wrong here.
Hey thereâŠ
In this case, âclockâ is the sync signal sent and received between midi sequencers, to keep them in sync.
If youâre wanting to use the KSâ ARP with your DAW, youâd need to set the sync to âexternalâ or âUSBâ (if youâre connecting it to your computer via USB) so your DAW and KS donât try and âfight or competeâ for control.
This is a VERY common occurrence known as a âmaster/slaveâ setup, where one device takes âmasterâ control over other devices connected to it.
So, if you want to control the ARP on your KS from the DAW, you need to set your DAW to âSend Master Syncâ once youâve done the above to your KS.
HTH!
