Sending Patch Changes via Midi

Thanks for letting us know! I just wish that Arturia used the same patch management solution they have in all or most of their other plugins! It’s really frustrating, and although I can still load up Minifreak V patches in Analog Lab, there is a CPU overhead penalty of between 1% and 5% per instance using AL vs using a patch directly in the dedicated plugin (tested using Pigments, Minifreak V and a few others).

I wonder if there’s a limitation on the hardware side of Minifreak that prevents Arturia from implementing this? For example, patch names in Minifreak V can only be quite short which I’m guessing is due to hardware limitations.

Ultimately I suspect I might need to get a hardware Minifreak, but I’m already too deep in keyboards in my live setup as it is (Nord Stage 2, Novation SL61 Mk3 and Hydrasynth Explorer).

Just wondering if there’s been any update on adding preset playlists with MIDI Program Change support to MiniFreak V?

Right now it still doesn’t work like in other Arturia plugins, which makes live use a bit tricky. Any plans to improve this?
Using Analog Lab is not solid workaround to me as it does not allow for exposing controls of underlying instrument as midi mappable parameters except for general macros like brightness, timbre, etc.

Yeah, having to use Analog Lab is not a great workaround. Just adds another layer of annoyance that deters me from using it.

I wonder if there’s something to do with the hardware implementation of program changes that is restricting them from doing what to us seems quite a straightforward change?
