Routing/cueing tracks to headphones in Live 12 Minifuse 4

Hi, i am having some trouble. I have read the manual and googled for an answer with no luck, so hoping someone here may be able to help. I am trying to send individual track outputs from Live 12 to my headphones only, by pressing the little headphone cue icon in the bottom of the channel strip. This was really simple on my NI Komplete audio 6 as output 3/4 could be selected as the cue output in Live 12 and when i pressed the cue button on the channel strip the track would mute on my main monitors and be routed into my headphones. The Arturia Minifuse 4 offers more flexible routing options but i am having a hard time trying to get this simple thing to work. I simply want to be able to send a drum track to my headphones so as i record acoustic guitar into Live i have a click track to keep in time and the drums are not coming out of the monitors and bleeding into my guitar track. The only way i can think of doing this is to plug my headphones into output 3 or 4 on the rear of the Minifuse but there must be a way to send the output to only the headphones as i would also like to be able to play live but i don’t want the click track being fed into the main mix for everyone else to hear.

Hi @tekkaz72 ,

I have not thought this over. But from the Minifuse-4 manual:
“Headphone Output 1 mirrors Outputs 1 & 2, while Headphone Output 2 mirrors Outputs 3 & 4.”
So is how you wan’t to do it not just about using the headphone 2 output on Minifuse-4 as it should mirror output 3&4?

EDIT: I don’t have a Minifuse 4. But can’t you make different routings in Minifuse Control Center - also to the 2 headphone outputs? EDIT END

Hi Tekkaz,

To do so, you can plug you headphones in the Heaphones Output 2 (available from the MiniFuse 4 front panel).

Then, from ableton, set your drumtrack outputs to 3-4.

Finally, from the Output section of the MiniFuse Control Center, simply set:

  • “Outputs 1 & 2” (monitoring and heaphones 1 path) to receive only USB 1-2
  • “Outputs 3 &4” to receive USB 1-2 and USB 3-4

With this setup, you should have only the guitar in the monitoring path, while having guitar and drums in the headphones 2
