Renaming Macro1 Knob is not possible

As the title suggests, I’m unable to give Macro 1 a custom name, while Macros 2, 3, and 4 work fine.

Double-clicking doesn’t work, and changing the slide mode from absolute to another setting doesn’t help either.

I’m using Pigments 6 in the latest version of Bitwig Studio.

Additionally, in the controller list, I only see Arturia controllers. Doesn’t Pigments recognize other controllers like the LinnStrument, Seaboard, etc.?

Hi @enCiphered. Welcome to the community.

You can’t rename or use Macro one, when MPE is enabled. That disable the Macro 1. MPE use Macro 1 for the Slide mode.
You can rename Macro 1, when MPE is disabled.

In the right panel you can select Generic settings. All the named controller settings is just made for Arturias controllers.
They are all to use for the MIDI Config mapping functionality only.

In a DAW the controllers you have set up for the DAW work.

In Standalone mode you enable controllers in the Audio and MIDI settings, that you find in the main menu at the top left. It’s the same place to select a soundcard.
For this please read the manual section “2.3. Initial setup for stand-alone use”.

Did you set up your non-Arturia controllers? A few years ago I set up some test configurations. I just checked: they are still there as user configurations (under MIDI Config). Or are you asking if Arturia creates controller configuration files for non-Arturia controllers?

I never use pre-made controller configurations, so I don’t know if they are standardized and can be loaded using the Import Config option.

Thank you very much for your quick and helpful response, I really appreciate it!

No, I was just expecting Pigments to automatically show all MIDI controllers connected to my DAW. I wasn’t necessarily looking for pre-made configurations, just basic recognition of all available controllers.
