Is it possible that the Polybrute12 remembers the last patch played?
How do I set that up, I can’t find it…(or an update?)

The PolyBrute starts up with the last saved patch.
A fast way to set the patch to be the startup one is to use Quick Save, as in three quick presses of Save, which saves the current patch back to its preset slot.
I wish it would start up with the last patch played as well.
Not perfect i know, but as a workaround, why not hit save just before shutting down on the last patch played?
Yes, that is a possibility, but…
Usually I have changed all kinds of settings of various potentiometers, so I save this changed version of the patch.
Thanks for your thoughts…
Something for a future “update”?

In that case, just reload it and re-save it. It only takes a few seconds - try it, it’s no so bad
I don’t think it’ll be changed to the last selected, as that will be somewhat random for many people. Starting with the last saved patch was a feature introduced in 3.0 exactly to address the need for selecting a startup patch in a controlled manner.
No, no, no. This kind of stuff should be in the options, for each user to set individually. This is not a $1000 synth… Can we demand more from a flagship instrument?
Yeah, that’s actually what I thought too.
Would it be that difficult to add this feature?
I hope something like this will be added in a new update…
Furthermore, I think the Polybrute is AMAZINGLY COOL, it stimulates my musical brain…
I’d prefer the synth restoring the state in which it was left right before turning it off. That would be really cool when modifying/creating patches.
[EDIT]
I incidentally discovered tonight the Polybrute saves its current state with all the edits you have made before powering the it down !
When you switch your PB on it restores everything automatically about 5 seconds after it displayed the last saved patch : it then switches automatically to the patch you were working on !
Which means it doesn’t really restore the last saved patch : it restores the last edited patch instead. If you want to have it remember the last patch played just move anything you want before switching your synth off.
YEZZZ, that’s perfect!!!

Might be a feature of the PB12 firmware - my PB6 is not doing so - I’ve tried different constellations.
Never mind, I got used to the “triple tab save” option by now.
It’s the same on the PB12. BTW, the PB12 and PB6 use the same firmware, the difference is that the PB12 will run the keyboard in PAT/FullTouch mode and make use of the additional voices - the rest of the functionality is identical. The use of the same firmware is a great move since it’s a mature piece of software and we get the patch compatibility as well as the familiarity of operation.

Micheal,
Hello,
I really don’t understand WHAT you are doing and meaning, I am unable to automatically get back the last played patch on the PB after closing the PB 12 and “connect”, I just write down the patch number on paper so that I can get the next day I know what I was doing…
Arturia would like a solution!

Rob
Oh, my bad.
I realised I was working on a new Polybrute patch with Polybrute Connect open on my PC.
Actually after having turned the Polybrute off and the PC in standby mode without closing down PB Connect, once you turn the synth and the PC back on the last edits made on the synth are restored by Polybrute Connect (which is why it takes a few seconds).
Maybe I should edit my post once again.
