Regarding custom mapping and MIDI learning

Hi,

I purchased a Minilab 3 a few months ago, stopped using it due do some problems and now I am back.

But I have a lot of doubts regarding custom mapping and MIDI learning. Can I use this to also control VSTs, instruments, synths, etc? And are the parameters “bind” to a certain specific and unique VST, only, or I can control, let’s say, all of them?

Hi @EWSG . Welcome back.

Minilab send midi CC messages. Controllers in generel use midi CC. The rest is about the hardware and software you use.

Midi CC is send to the active hard or software. It’s not like a midi CC only can be used by a single unit. Midi CC control any unit that accept midi CC control. I suggest you learn about midi CC and midi in generel.
