Hi @herz ,
I don’t have a hardware MiniFreak.
If you mean record chords played by MiniFreak V’s internal sequencer, then create a midi track where you set the input to be miniFreak V’s output.
For the Hardware MiniFreak this might be the answer, if it have to be directly from the hardware:
In section “15.2.1. Utility > MIDI” in the manual you can read this:
“MIDI Seq/Synth: determines routing of keyboard data vs. external MIDI data for the Arpeggiator/Sequencer vs. the MiniFreak’s synth engine.”
If you mean the Chord function in the Chord section, then it’s the same as explained in my previous post when using MiniFreak V.
I don’t know if there is a Utillity setting for this output in the hardware MiniFreak.
The Chord and Scale functions do not output the resulting chords or scales to MIDI. The MIDI output is always the exact key(s) you’re playing. The sequencer outputs chords though, if any have been recorded.
I don’t think so. I checked the manual again and unfortunately there’s nothing about it. If it were possible, they would have told us — it would be a nice feature
I always get the same results as well.
MIDI output for Chord/Scale is a feature that has been requested now and then, so to add your weight to that, file a feature request ticket with support ![]()
Done and thanks for the Fish
