Unfortunately there are many problems with the PB12 software. Maybe I can give some examples.
I also think that the idea of “last saved patch” is not very good. First, the user has to remember to carry out the procedure. Second, you can accidentally save a changed patch. In addition, the “sleep time” will be turned on, the screen will turn off and you can only wake it up by changing the parameters. And now remember to restore the parameters before quickly saving the patch. The problem is not big if you only have PB12 but if you have more than one synthesizer, let’s say ten instruments and in each you have to remember about the procedure… I am very sad to write this because I like the Arturia company, the PB12 is my fourth instrument of this company, but my sympathy will run out if the software is not improved. At the moment I rate it 3/10. I want to decide if I am Eco friendly. If I have electricity from solar panels I do not want any sleep time. Especially since one time it turns on in a certain way and the next differently. Of course there is a workaround but my experience with PB12 is that it is a constant development of problems. Is that what I expected? We are buying an excellent, groundbreaking instrument with unfinished software. I don’t just expect software changes, I expect a message from Arturia about what changes they are considering. Why? Because it’s about my money. About a refund or not. For example, the Behringer Deepmind 12, for which I paid FIVE TIMES LESS, had refined software from the start. Memory of the last selected preset, adjustment and possibility of turning off the fan, setting the length of the pop-up menu display. Sorry Arturia but I’m disappointed. This is not what I expected in a flagship instrument. In conclusion, I will only say one thing: the software in PB12 lives its own life. Once a certain function works in a certain way, in a moment this action is different. These are mistakes, dear Arturia. But the synth itself is brilliant. Best regards, I expect an answer, Marcin.
