Presets

I recently bought Microfreak Vocoder but am confused about the presets as shown in the MIDI Control Center (MCC).

On the Computer side, it lists New Presets 4.0 (64 presets), Factory6.0 (384 presets), Factory3.0 (320 presets), and New Presets 5.0 (64 presets)

.On the Microfreak side, I have presets that match Factory6.0. (Screenshot attached)

Do I need to send New Presets 4.0, Factory3.0, and New Presets 5.0) to the Microfreak side? Is Factory6.0 a combination of all the rest group of presets or do I need to send them to the Microfreak side? Also, if I send, say New Presets 5.0 to Microfreak side, will it wipe off the existing Factory6.0 presets?

You’re absolutely right.

The Factory 6.0 is a curated list from of previous banks.
If your microfreak is brand new, it will probably already have the latest bank included so you should not need to transfert anything, you are probably already in the latest bank version.

Yes it will. If you press the “Send” button.
If I recall well, you can drag&drop the bank on the device side, this way you should be able to preview the presets you are overriding while selecting the slot you want.

Oh great! Thank you, Tim. Yes, I manually checked the 5.0 presets in the device side and they seem to be all there. (I randomly checked 5-6 presets and they were all present on the Microfreak side.) So that’s great.

BTW, yes, I bought it recently brand new.

I also realized I could drag and drop a preset in the Microfreak side to move it up or down. That will come handy in future, I’m sure.

The only thing I wished I could sort the preset order (just for viewing purpose) to compare the two sides. (I’m afraid, this could be showing my ignorance about Microfreak )
