PolyBrute 12 Factory 2.0 Sounds

Noticed this morning that PolyBrute Connect has received an update and it now features the PolyBrute 12 Factory 2.0 sound bank!

Some nice, new sounds in there!

The same update was performed for me!
Have more things changed, improved?
But also update of the MIDI drivers.

Where can I find the new sounds?
Is there a new soundbank somewhere?

And do I also have to load them into my polybrute 12?

Please respond

Go to the preset browser page, then click on Sound Banks on the left.

You should then see a bank in there called PolyBrute 12 Factory 2.0. That’s the new bank. There is also a new Project file listed on the left.

Yes, you will need to load these up manually, either by using the Project tool or by dragging and dropping them over.

You can preview each sound with your PolyBrute 12 connected, simply by selecting the sound you want to try.

I’m not sure if there will be a forthcoming OS update for the PolyBrute 12 that contains this bank as the default bank.

I don’t believe anything else was changed as the release notes only mentioned the new Factory 2.0 sound set.

Hello,
THANK YOU for your response
 :grinning:
Clear where I can find the 2.0 bank, also transferred to the Poly. 12. At first sight/hearing NICE!
Hopefully there will also be an update where the last chosen patch is remembered, and maybe more

Greetings and THANK YOU again!! :hugs:

UPDATE - I guess I needed to update PBconnect first. I wish that PBconnect would just tell you that there is an update available so I wouldn’t have to look for it online. Anyway, solved! Looking forward to hearing the new stuff.

I do not see the Polybrute 12 2.0 Factory sound bank in the soundbanks, only the 64 patch Factory 2.0 and 3.0 from the original Polybrute. My wifi is on, weird! How may I get this? Thanks!

Hi! This is a new Polybrute 12 2.0 Factory, you will find it in Projects and in your Banks too normally. I will add screenshots here.

We added 40+ new sounds that are classic, vintage, nostalgic, to complement all the wild stuff on there already!

Note that most of these presets are only playable on PB12, not PB6 because of FullTouch.

here is what the bank should look like in your ‘Banks’

So if you’re updating that firmware, it’s not going to crush your existing factory & user presets or rejiggle everything, is it? it just gives you access to 40 new presets you can put on the Polybrute via the computer application?

This isn’t a firmware upgrade. It’s just a new Factory bank with 40+ new patches and some slight re-ordering.

Can’t wait to get home and download these new patches. Can they be heard somewhere on the net? I wonder what type of presets these are.

Hopefully they’ll be complementary to the existing presets + the Scott McAuley Sounds (Lustral Vol1 & Vol2) that you had recommended on Gearnews Rob.

It’ll be interesting to see if more MPE options get added in some future firmware update (if one ever comes), to be able to play better with some of the MPE software out there (Soliste works great on the Osmose, not too bad on Push3, but isn’t satisfactory with the Polybrute 12 for instance).
Either way, super excited about those new presets.

The Polybrute Connect app makes it easy to backup the current state of your PB12 as a “project”, with all patches as you’ve arranged them. And it’s just as easy to swap back if you decide you want to roll back to your previous arrangement, or to make a derived Project with new or re-arranged patches.

Hi all,

I realise it’s possible to audition the new sounds individually directly from Connect, but could anyone describe the process to transfer all of the Factory 2.0 patches from from Polybrute Connect into the hardware, so that everything drops into its correct patch number in the synth?

Thanks in advance

Hello.

You can do that from the project (not to be confused with the banks):

Cheers
