Plug in foot switch to controller preset changes

Hi there,
I use a Keylab Mk11 and Analog Lab for gigs. I want to be able to midi map preset changes to either a foot switch plugged into my key lab or a Bluetooth foot switch. I have options for both.
I can’t find any where online that call solves this.
The midi map function won’t allow me to map that button. In the midi control centre to can’t reassign the next preset button.
Any one had any luck?

HI @edward_hare. Welcome to the community.

I don’t have the controller.

You can’t assign anything to control the hardware buttons.

If the info i can read in an Analog Lab file is correct, then it look like Next preset is using midi CC 29, and Previous preset is using midi CC 28 for a Keylab MK2 controllers default mapping, when that’s used.
So it simply use midi CC’s assigned to the next and previous buttons.

You should be able to create a controller User template where you assign pedals using the control inputs on the keyboard controller.

You can also create your own Midi Config in Analog Lab.
Please consult Analog Lab manual section “3.5.2.3. MIDI Config” to section “3.5.2.7. Assignments List”.

Hope this can help you on the way.

Hi, thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I have read the sections of the manual. I can’t find a way to configure Aux Pedal 1 to be a new CC Message of 28 of Next Preset. I tried doing it in the Midi Control Centre app but it didn’t work. I tried midi learn within the Analog Lab plugin, both stand along and within Ableton and the Next Preset button on the plugin itself doesn’t seem to be recognised as something that can be Midi Mapped.
I found a solution. I dropped the Midi CC Control device onto the Ableton Track and mapping the pedal to CC29. Thanks for Ableton.
Cheers,
