Pigments Utility Noise - "phase" value question

Hello! I am a new Arturia Pigments user.
I have a small question about the “Utility” noise engine. There are word “Phase” on panel.
But it non-active, and never changed to let me to set a phase value.
I can set a noise length, I can set start mode with small “keyboard” sign, but it is ok that I can’t set Phase value?

I am trying to find it because some very tasty parts of noise are a bit after the sample start position. I want to start sample from there, not from “0”.

It is ok that “Phase” always shaded grey and I can’t set value there?

Hi @Rain24. Welcome to the community.

That Phase text is text only. You can set the Retrig Phase to Key or Random above that text.

If you wan’t more advanced features to set sample start, sample end and loops. then you need to use the Engine 1 or 2 Sample module.
Otherwise you need a sample that’s only the bit you wan’t.

Thank you for the answer, @LBH . Ok I got it, also found this link and seems like no way to enter the Utility sample offset manually. I don’t know why I decided that “button should work” :smile: it really looks like something that could turn its color or something like that :slight_smile: Then I’ll move to samplers of Engine 1 or 2.
