Hi @Julian. Welcome back.
I don’t use Cubase. I did a quick web search. It look like others have had similar plugin blacklist issue with the latest Cubase update.
"This is suggested:
To resolve a Cubase Pro 14.0.32 blacklist issue, locate and delete the vst3blacklist.xml file in your Cubase VST3 cache folder, then restart Cubase to trigger a rescan of your plugins and resolve any blacklisting problems.
-For Windows Users
Close Cubase completely.
Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
Enter the following path and click OK:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 14_64\Cubase Pro VST3 Cache\
Manually delete the vst3blacklist.xml file.
Restart Cubase.
-For macOS Users
Close Cubase completely.
Open Finder and go to ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase **/Cubase Pro VST3 Cache/ (where ** is your Cubase version).
Delete the vst3blacklist.xml file.
Restart Cubase to allow for a full rescan. "
Otherwise you can revert to the previous Cubase version.
I hope the blacklist reset will help.
As i see it, then it can only be about the plugin, if Steinberg have changed something.
Hi there,
Thank you for you prompt help.
I have deleted the xml file as suggested but it didn’t fixed the issue, nevertheless after trying that I also re-installed Pigments and it worked.
Best
Glad you got it solved.
A simpler way of trying to fix it before deleting XML files is to just use the plugin manager in Cubase, look in the blacklist and reactivate from there.
Had this happen with ALL UAD2 plugins the other week, and it sorted it straight away.
Yeah you’re right but you know an even simpler way would be that Cubase works better… like any modern DAW in a modern world… (but I know I am just dreaming)
