Piano V (standalone) same as Piano V3 (which is included in V11pro)?

Is the Piano V (standalone) the same as Piano V3, which is included in V11 pro)?
It is a little confusing. I own V11 pro. Piano V shows up in my ASC as a trial version.

Is there anything in Piano V (standalone) that I don’t have in my V11 pro version of Piano V3?

Thanks!

Hi @kurtlogic,

If you own V-Collection PRO, then you own Piano V3. You can use it both as a Plugin in a DAW or other host or as a Standalone instrument without a host. It’s the same instrument.

Have you installed and activated your V-Collection PRO in your Arturia Software Center (ASC)?

Yes sir, V 11 pro is activated, and does contain Piano V3.

But, my question is: is Piano V3 (within V11pro) the exact same as Piano V that is sold separately?

Yes it’s the same. as long as it’s not an older version like Piano V2.

Thanks. I was suspecting as much.
They even have different version numbers.
The nomenclature gets a little confusing.
Good to know that I have the whole enchilada, as it were.

Hi there,
In Analog Lab, you’ll know when it’s an “old” version of the instrument when you see the parentheses around the version number.

In this screenshot, the only Legacy preset in these Multis is the Mini V3. The others are the latest versions of those synths. So in your preset browser you will see “CS-80” for the latest V4 version, and you will see “CS-80 V3” for the Legacy version.

Hope this cleared up the confusion. In Analog Lab V, most of the older versions of the Factory banks are hidden by default, but you can “Include Legacy Sounds” from the top left hamburger menu if you want to display them.
