There are several standard patches where slight to heavy background noise can be heard. Mainly in the Release and/or Sustain of the patch. This noise is caused by the “Multi Comp” effect. I do not think this is the intention of a compression effect. In the standard Bass patch “Sullen” this noise is very noticeable. This occurs both with the MiniFreak hardware and the MiniFreak V. Does anyone have their comments on this?
Well, I have not measured the signal-to-noise ratio in the “normal use case”, but due to the way a compressor works, it can be said that this is also partly the normal way a compressor works, depending on the SNR.
A simple first workaround is, for example, to place the envelope curve on the amount of the compressor.
