I wonder why i didn’t find such a topic already here in the forum search, since i think it’s quite obvious.
Well, i wish i was here before the Minifreak was built, to make a suggestion regarding the oscillator parameter labelling. Since the Microfreak has the same “problem” before.
These three labels (Wave, Timbre, Shape) are not matching the labels of not one oscillator type at all. That’s quite annoying, especially in the mod-matrix. Even more confusing in osc-type VAnalog, since there is Timbre=Shape and Shape=Wave …, WTF.
My suggestion would be, simply the labels: 1, 2, 3,
or more uniquely (to avoid other confusion in the mod matrix): 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Or how about: alpha, beta, gamma, to underline the scientific design? Ok, “beta” could imply negative connotations…
So, even it’s too late to suggest that, i wanted to share these thoughts. Maybe in the firmware it’s still possible to improve something about that some day…
For now, my memory aid for orientation in the mod-matrix is focussing on the first letter of the labels: W, T, S, like “What The Suck”…
