Octave +- flashing lights, midi cc knobs aren't calibrated

I just purchased the keystep 37 and the flashing octave buttons is a huge problem for me. The button LED brightness is tertiary but also a problem.

Is there currently anything I can do about this? If not then until this is patched I am not sure I can say I am a happy first-time Arturia customer.

The other issue I notice is there is padding at the min and max range of the midi cc knobs that doesn’t do anything. There is roughly 5% of movement at the min and max range on all 4 knobs that doesn’t correlate to any change in the midi cc values. At above roughly 5% the midi cc values increase linearly from 0 to 127 until roughly 95% position. Turning the knobs above the 95% position doesn’t do anything as the value is already 127. From 100% down until 95% there is no change in value and the cc value stays at 127. same with 0% up to 5% there is no change in cc value and stays at a value of 0.

Is this a hardware issue or is this something I can calibrate in the software or the firmware?

I have to push this thread as well.
Just bought one and that brightness and blinking are causing me migraine.
Mailed the support as well. When checking around the web everybody seems to get the same answer from Arturia, “We’ll put a feature request to the team”.

I suspect they fu33ed up when designing the hardware so this is probably impossible to fix with software update. The last firmware update was done 2021 so for Arturia it is probably deprecated by now. They probably put their resources into future products. Extremely bad design choice on an otherwise cool unit. Also very disappointing customer treatment from Arturia, just be honest and tell the truth please. As a long time satisfied customer this is giving me second thoughts.

Mine is sent back unfortunately.

Yeah I think I’m going to have to return mine as well. Shame.
