Nostalgia

Well, I do not see a lot of discussions about the Farfisa V;

I just want to say that i had a real Farfisa Compact, around 75/76, it was already a bit old, and Farfisa was already doing the Matador and other organs.

I understand that for most organist an organ is a B3, but i was formatted by my Compact, and finding a VI that sound as i remember, including the 50Hz hum, was just great :slight_smile:

HI @maurizio.dececco and welcome to The Sound Explorers Forum!

Great to hear you’re enjoying The Farfisa-V!

I have to admit that personally, it’s not on the top of my own list for productions done here, although it’s ALWAYS good to know that it’s there and fully authentic for the time WHEN i need one. :sunglasses:

Hi @maurizio.dececco. Welcome to the community from me too.

Nostalgia is for certain a reason to buy emulations.

I first bought the V Collection (and I think it was when I first heard of Arturia) when they debuted the Vox Continental. In the 90s I collected Vox and Farfisa organs and played them exclusively in a garage-psych band.

Eventually I sold them all off due to space and reliability issues but I still love that sound.

What’s amazing about the Arturia versions is how accurately they re-create all the imperfections that I tried so hard to “fix” on the originals. The Farfisa noise is especially authentic, though I now take it out of the patch I use.

If only Arturia would produce a reverse-color controller in a black and orange case I could fully relive my Vox Continental glory.
